Trey Rome

After starting his career in banking, founder and CEO Trey Rome left his position as a Vice President in the private equity acquisition finance group at Amegy Bank because he had that “entrepreneurial itch.” A graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, Trey always knew that he wanted to start his own company where he could improve an industry, help people, and make money at the same time. While working in finance, Trey learned that paying delinquent property taxes was an expensive problem for hundreds of thousands of Texans each year. He researched the property tax loan industry, and in 2012, Home Tax Solutions was born at his kitchen table. His top priority when establishing HTS was and remains to be financial recovery for consumers – providing Texas property owners a quick and affordable solution to paying their delinquent property taxes. Now, Home Tax Solutions is the fastest growing and largest property tax lender in the state of Texas.

Trey is a fourth generation Texan and has lived in Dallas for nearly 20 years. He currently serves as the president for the Texas Property Tax Lienholders Association and works with several non-profits and sponsors community programs each year. He met his wife Jenna after graduating from college, and they have two young sons together. When he isn’t at the office, he spends his [very little] free time playing tennis, golfing, biking, and traveling to the Hill Country.

Michael Lenardi

Mike Lenardi is responsible for Home Tax Solutions’ finance operations, accounting, financial reporting, customer service and collections, treasury, and risk management teams. He also assists in managing the relationships with the company’s current and potential sources of capital. Before joining Home Tax Solutions, Mike served as a Director within the Financial Institutions Group at Capital One with responsibilities over originations and relationship management. He has also held various business development, portfolio management, and risk management roles as a Vice President at BMO Harris Bank during and following the financial crisis of 2007-2009. Mike graduated from Elmhurst University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has previously held Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent) certifications as a FINRA Registered Representative. Mike is an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching all his children’s teams.  In his spare time, Mike loves bike rides and running with his family.

Rebecca Palacios

Rebecca Palacios joined the property tax lending industry in 2006.  Rebecca is passionate about making a difference within a company and achieving results.  It is always her goal to consistently exceed her customers’ expectations.  Her key strengths lie in her ability to gain new and repeat business, as well as building strong relationships people she interacts with.  Focused on company growth and customer satisfaction, Rebecca brings 14 years of property tax lending experience.  Her experience, work ethic, and self-motivation allow her to provide excellence in service and satisfaction to anyone she assists.  In that time, she has managed to help thousands of property owners with their property tax needs, and, in some cases, she has saved them from losing their home. Rebecca’s position as Sales Leader allows her to take part in customer relations, property research, and managing the sales team, but most important to her is the daily interaction with her customers.

Prior to joining Home Tax Solutions, Rebecca spent 11 years working for Rio Tax Loans and Propel Financial Services, both property tax lending companies in the state of Texas. She was also part of the insurance industry, working for companies like Allstate, Nationwide and several other independent insurance agencies for 8 years. With over 22 years of customer service experience, Rebecca prides herself in always going the extra mile, exhausting every avenue to meet her customers’ needs. She lives by her favorite motto, “Love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”  During her free time, Rebecca enjoys family time, fitness, outdoor activities and traveling or planning her next vacation.

Shawnae Menchaca

Shawnae brings a plethora of property tax experience to Home Tax Solutions with 11 years as a licensed Loan Officer. She worked in the banking mortgage industry, followed by Rio Tax and Propel Financial Services, before joining the HTS family in April 2019. Her love of people is portrayed in her client relationships, as they are her #1 priority, and she treats them like family. She enjoys traveling, hiking, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Helen Moore

Mary Helen has worked in the property tax loan industry as a Senior Loan Officer since 2010. She brings years of experience to HTS and holds both federal and state licenses to provide property tax assistance. A former educator, Mary Helen has taught family financial planning and management at the secondary and college levels and is dedicated to helping families achieve their financial goals. Outside of the office, Mary Helen enjoys traveling to explore new landscapes, cultures and foods of the world, sailing, and her family which includes 2 rescue cats.

Melanie Cardenas

Melanie has been in the tax lending industry for 12 years. Prior to joining Home Tax Solutions, she worked at Propel Financial Services for 8 years. Melanie is passionate about what she does and is dedicated to helping families with their most important asset – their homes. Her biggest joy are her two wonderful boys, one of which is graduating from Texas State University and who also has a passion for music. Outside of the office, Melanie enjoys spending quality time with her sons and continues to be their biggest cheerleader and supporter in their lives.  She also enjoys spending time with her close friends and family in addition to being at the pool, beach, rivers, and lakes when it’s warm enough.

David Melsheimer

David (“DJ”) Melsheimer graduated from Southern Methodist University in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. DJ is responsible for maintaining our Salesforce CRM, running point on our various Broker teams, and conducting marketing, financial, and sales analysis. He is originally from Lake Forest, Illinois and has been a part of the HTS team since 2018, starting off as an intern. Outside of work, he is an avid NFL and NBA fan.

Victoria Zhao

Victoria graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2017 with a MS in Accounting. Before joining Home Tax Solutions, she worked for DAL Capital as a staff accountant and J. Hoffman & Co. as a tax associate. She also served as an audit associate for Baker Tilly China while she was pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Economics at Beijing Institute of Technology. Victoria started her career at HTS in 2018 as an Accounting Analyst and was promoted to her current role as Accounting Manager in 2021. Outside of the office, Victoria enjoys traveling, exercising and loves thriller movies and novels.

Dwayne Cooper

Dwayne joined the Home Tax Solutions team in May 2019 to help with all financial reporting aspects of the business. With over 40 years of experience in accounting management, Dwayne brings a “can-do” attitude for customer service. In his spare hours, Dwayne spends time with his granddaughter and enjoys singing in a barbershop quartet.

Amyrah Phillips

Amyrah is currently wrapping up her associates in mortgage banking and studying for her bachelor’s in accounting & finance. She is the youngest and newest on the team and brings 3 years of accounting data entry experience. Amyrah enjoys playing piano, trying new foods, and spending time with her church.

Farah Galvan

Farah Galvan has been in the customer service industry for 18 years and the property tax lending industry for 10 years. Prior to joining Home Tax Solutions, Farah worked at Propel Financial Service. In her time at Propel, she worked as a loan officer, payoff clerk, underwriter, and an accounting and servicing supervisor. Farah’s current role at HTS is Servicing Manager, leading and motivating the customer service team. Outside of the office, Farah enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors.

Jessica Torres

Jessica Torres has been in the property tax lending industry for over 11 years. Prior to joining Home Tax Solutions, she worked as a Senior Posting Clerk at Propel Financial Services. She has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and exercising to stay as healthy as possible.

Amanda Mata

Amanda brings over 17 years of experience to Home Tax Solutions as our Sr Customer Service Analyst. Prior to joining HTS, she worked at J.P Morgan Chase Bank as a Senior Resolution Specialist. When not assisting our customers, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in her children’s youth sports activities, and traveling to new destinations.

Jessica Segundo

Jessica has been in customer service for 9 years and has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. She enjoys spending her free time with family, taking road trips and participating in a variety of community events.

Bridget Jackson

Bridget has dedicated 22 years of her career to helping others with their most important asset – their home. As the Senior Loan Operations Manager, she is responsible for all day-to-day functions of the processing and funding teams. Her goal is to ensure that clients have a smooth and efficient process, from beginning to end.  Being the first hire for Home Tax Solutions, she is more than familiar with the ins and outs of every aspect of the organization.

She puts her heart into everything she does and loves making the impossible possible. Some say it’s because she’s obsessed with what she does, but she likes to look at it as being passionate about helping people.  She believes that work is about more than the end result, it’s about the fulfilment that comes from doing great work with people you care about and being able to help our clients.

Detric Taylor

As a member of the Home Tax Solutions Processing Team, Dee Taylor brings a diversified wealth of knowledge to the company. She joined the HTS team in October 2019 as a Loan Processor- Accounting Analyst.  Her current role now mainly consists of Processing Loans with a heavy emphasis on recording, uploading, preparing incoming document packages for funding. The ultimate Team Player she willingly assists other teams when needed.

Prior to joining HTS, she hailed as a veteran of the banking industry with over 20 years of experience at J P Morgan Chase Bank and Amegy Bank as a Senior Client Service Specialist.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, she has a natural-born love of helping others. Dee Taylor is a devoted mother with one child who is an opera singer and graduate of Booker T Washington High School for Performing and Visual Arts Magnet. She also has a passion for makeup and reading.

Jenna Rome

Jenna Rome is a marketing leader with over 16 years of experience focusing on marketing strategy, campaign execution and client development. Before joining Home Tax Solutions, Jenna held multiple marketing positions, most recently as Senior Brand Manager at The Infinite Agency, where she was responsible for day-to-day client relationship management; overseeing creative direction and production on projects ranging from traditional print and video production to digital, web and experiential; and strategic planning for several local, national and global accounts. In her current role as Marketing Director, she oversees all aspects of HTS’ marketing and directs all media relations, branding, PR, advertising and website development efforts as well as managing and overseeing sponsorships, events and charitable contributions.

Originally from Tampa, Florida, Jenna is a proud graduate of The University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a minor in business. She has worked with many non-profit organizations in Dallas over the years and loves to give back in her spare time. When she isn’t working or chasing her two energetic sons, she enjoys running, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with her husband.

Michela D’Andrea

Michela brought her 17 years of administrative, statistics and analytics experience to Home Tax Solutions in 2017.  Among her responsibilities are managing the office, Executive Assistant to the founder and CEO as well as the executive team, and maintaining a teamwork culture throughout Home Tax Solutions’ numerous offices. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Michela graduated with honors from the University of the West Indies, with a dual major in zoology and environmental sciences. She is also a Regional Leader for the international charity, Lasagna Love, which provides homemade meals for families in need.

Danny Collins

Danny has been involved in sales for 25 years, 14 of those being in the property tax lending business. His experience includes raw land, residential, as well as his specialty niche, commercial lending, where he works with business owners, developers and investors throughout Texas. Danny’s people-friendly skills date back to his childhood on his family farm in Iowa, which is still in operation today. Danny joined the Home Tax Solutions team in 2017 and has originated in excess of $80MM in property tax loans, making him one of the top 1% of tax lien originators in the industry.

Jennifer Stevenson

Jennifer joined Home Tax Solutions in 2018, and is directly responsible for scheduling, administrative, processing and research for our commercial tax loan division. In her spare time, she is devoted to her husband and children’s outside interests of rodeo and basketball, as well as her personal interests in reading and painting.
